The sword’s blade has designs featuring the Gods hunting alongside Apollo’s cosmic chariot, with the path of the chariot defined by swirling markings forward to the blade’s tip. Made of hard rubber, the sword handle is marked with intricate line patterning running from the pointed bottom to the top, with the design replicated on both sides. CGI was used to create the blade’s extending effect on screen, with this full-length version of the sword used for the film’s fight sequences and when planted in the ground by Perseus during his battle with Calibos (Jason Flemyng). A sword imbued with the magical power of Olympus, the blade of the sword emerged from the handle when called upon to do battle by Perseus.
